What the C-curve and 25 A mean for fit
The S803C-C25: The C-curve trips between 5× and 10× In (125–250 A instantaneous), which is the standard choice for general-purpose loads: lighting, control transformers, small motor circuits, and downstream distribution. The 25 A rating covers branch circuits drawing up to that continuous current. If your panel is feeding resistive or moderate inductive loads, this is the right curve — no nuisance trips on inrush, but fast enough to clear a hard fault.
