The Omron E2E-X23C2L30-M1 is a long-body M30 shielded inductive proximity sensor from the E2E NEXT series, delivering 23 mm sensing distance — a 4x factor that lets you mount it further from the target or detect thicker materials without range compromise. Output is NPN normally-closed on a 3-wire DC supply (10-30 VDC), terminated with an M12 4-pin connector. The nickel-plated brass housing carries both IP67 and IP69K, which means the same sensor stands up to both dust immersion and high-pressure washdowns from food or wash-down zones.
M30 long-body means the total length is 80 mm, with 64 mm of thread — account for that when drilling panels or fitting into tight machine frames. The nickel-plated brass resists corrosion in wet environments, and the PBT sensing face holds up against impact. Shielded construction allows flush mounting in metal without derating the sensing distance. For washdown zones, the IP69K rating is the one that matters; verify the M12 connector is properly torqued to maintain the seal.
