Sensor overview
The Omron E2EW-QX20B1D30-M1 is a shielded M30 proximity sensor with PNP normally-open output and IO-Link COM2 communication. Sensing range is 20 mm at the 3x factor, meaning it detects steel and aluminum equally – no derating needed for non-ferrous targets. Fluororesin coating and stainless steel case (SUS303) give it weld field immunity; stands up to slag and spatter common on automotive body-in-white lines.
M30 threaded body with 28 mm of thread, overall length 54.4 mm. Connection via M12 4-pin connector – standard for quick swap on a sensor rail. Supply voltage 10 to 30 VDC, three-wire DC, typical for industrial PLC inputs. IO-Link COM2 gives you parameter access and diagnostic feedback through the same cable.
