Base unit for a 20-point DVP-EX2 system
The Delta DVP20EX200R is the main processing unit (base unit) of the DVP-EX2 Series PLC, carrying 20 I/O points on a single compact chassis. This is the CPU and power supply in one package — no separate backplane or processor module required. For a panel already running a DVP-EX2 rack, this base unit handles the scan cycle, program execution, and local I/O mapping for up to 20 points.
20 I/O points is the fixed local count on this base unit. That covers a small machine cell or a standalone station — think a packaging wrapper, a labeling head, or a single-axis pick-and-place. If the application needs more than 20 points, the DVP-EX2 series supports expansion modules via the internal bus, but the base unit itself does not grow.
The base unit draws its power from the 24 VDC supply on the backplane; no separate power module needed. Relay outputs are isolated per common group — verify the load return wiring matches the common terminal assignment before commissioning. The DVP-EX2 series uses the same form factor as the earlier DVP-EH3, so a panel cutout or wiring duct layout from a previous Delta PLC generation should accept this unit without rework.
