The 15 A AC-7B rating covers resistive loads like heaters. Electrical durability is specified per duty: 100,000 cycles at 40 A AC-7A, and 30,000 cycles at 15 A AC-7B. Mechanical durability is 1,000,000 cycles, so the contactor outlasts its electrical life in most applications — the coil or contacts will wear before the mechanism does. The 2-pole configuration uses two normally-open (NO) contacts, so it switches both line and neutral (or two phases) simultaneously.
