The thermal-magnetic trip handles overloads (thermal) and short circuits (magnetic) in one device.
Breaking capacity is 20 kA Icu at 220–240 V AC and 10 kA Icu at 380–415 V AC, per EN/IEC 60947-2. Control voltage options cover 230 V AC, 24 V AC, 48 V AC, 24 V DC, and 48 V DC — so it fits both AC and DC control circuits common in panel designs. The control signal can be maintained (continuous command), maintained very low voltage, or impulse (pulse). Electrical durability is 50,000 cycles under AC-1 resistive load at 50 Hz — that's the expected life before contact wear becomes a concern. Mechanical durability matches at 50,000 cycles.
The 2-pole body takes 9 module pitches (9 x 9 mm = 81 mm width), so plan for 81 mm of DIN rail space per unit. Depth is 77 mm, height 84 mm — fits standard distribution boards with adequate wiring gutter. Local signalling includes a flashing LED for device ready, green for ON, flashing for overheat, red for fault, and flashing for tripped — useful for quick fault isolation on the panel door.
