The Schneider Electric A9C70334 is an ARA iID automatic recloser auxiliary designed for iID 4-pole residual current devices. It provides four selectable reclosing programs: Program 1 (1 attempt, short cycle), Program 2 (3 attempts, short cycle), Program 3 (5 attempts, long fixed cycle), and Program 4 (5 attempts, long progressive cycle). The unit draws 5 mA input current and provides local signalling via a tri-colour LED — flashing orange for not operational, flashing green for normal, flashing red for reclosing cycle in progress, and fixed red for locked-out recloser.
Mounts on DIN rail with a fixed mounting mode. Dimensions are 93 mm high, 63 mm wide, and 75.5 mm deep, occupying 7 pitches of 9 mm. IP20 protection means the enclosure is finger-safe but not sealed against water — suitable for a clean, dry control cabinet. The unit is padlockable for lockout/tagout procedures.
Electrical Ratings and Connections
Rated insulation voltage is 400 V with an impulse withstand voltage of 6 kV, overvoltage category II. Electrical durability is rated at 5000 cycles. The signalling circuit uses 2 volt-free OF contacts rated for 24 to 230 V AC at 0.01 to 1 A. Tightening torque for power supply and input terminals is 1 N·m; output terminals require 0.7 N·m. Wire stripping length is 10 mm for power and input (bottom connection) and 8 mm for output (top connection).
