The Schneider Electric A9D54220 is an Acti9 iC60 RCBO — a 2-pole residual-current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection, rated 20 A with a C-curve magnetic trip (5 to 10 x In) and 300 mA earth-leakage sensitivity. Breaking capacity is 10 kA Icn per EN/IEC 61009-2-1 at 220–240 V AC, 50 Hz, with an ultimate Icu of 15 kA per EN/IEC 60947-2. The trip unit is thermal-magnetic: the thermal bimetal handles overloads, the magnetic coil handles short-circuits. The C-curve holds up to 5 x In (100 A) for instantaneous trips, so it tolerates motor inrush and capacitive loads without nuisance tripping, but clears fast on hard faults.
IP40 in a distribution enclosure, IP20 bare — suitable for indoor panel use, not for wet or outdoor locations without an outer cabinet.
Approvals include IMQ, NF, VDE, and KEMA-KEUR — covering Italian, French, German, and Dutch certification bodies. The part is tropicalised (class 2) for 95% RH at 55 °C. Local signalling shows ON, OFF, and fault-trip status on the toggle.
