On a 3P+N outgoer feeding a socket circuit or a hand-held tool, that 10 mA threshold catches leakage before it becomes a shock hazard. The thermal-magnetic trip unit handles the overcurrent side; the magnetic element reacts to short-circuits, the thermal bimetal to sustained overloads.

Clip-on mounting onto a DIN rail or chassis — standard for any Acti9 distribution board. The 3P+N module occupies 6 x 9 mm pitches, so 54 mm on the rail. Depth is 77.2 mm, height 112 mm. Neutral is on the left. Tightening torque is 2.5 N.m.
