The Schneider Electric A9DC2920 is a 3P+N Acti9 iC60 RCBO — a combined residual-current device and miniature circuit breaker in one 54 mm wide module. The 20 A rated current and 10 kA Icn breaking capacity at 400/415 V mean it handles both overload and short-circuit faults on branch circuits up to that level, while the integrated 100 mA earth-leakage protection covers ground-fault detection without a separate RCCB. The C-curve gives a magnetic trip threshold of 5–10× In, suited to motor and lighting loads with moderate inrush.
The 100 mA earth-leakage sensitivity is a higher threshold than the 30 mA used for personal protection; it is typically specified for equipment protection or circuits where nuisance tripping from leakage is a concern. The thermal-magnetic trip unit combines a bimetal strip for overload protection and a solenoid for short-circuit response. Limitation class 3 means the device limits let-through energy during a fault, reducing stress on downstream components.
The neutral position is left. Screw-clamp terminals accept 1–25 mm² rigid or 1–16 mm² flexible with a tightening torque of 2.5 N.m. Wire stripping length is 11 mm for bottom connection and 14 mm for top connection. Padlockable with a 4 mm diameter padlock or lead seal. The toggle control provides ON/OFF indication.
