It protects a 3P+N outgoing circuit at 40 A (rated at 30 °C) with integrated 30 mA earth-leakage detection, so you get overcurrent and ground-fault protection from a single device that clips onto a DIN rail.
Rated 6000 A Icn at 400/415 V AC — that's the short-circuit breaking capacity per AS/NZS 61009.1. In a typical TN earthing system, this RCBO sits at the outgoer position, downstream of a higher-rated main breaker.
Thermal-magnetic trip and durability
The trip unit is thermal-magnetic — a bimetal strip handles overloads (slow, heat-dependent) and a solenoid handles short-circuits (instantaneous). Expect 5000 electrical cycles and 20000 mechanical cycles; that's a solid service life for a panel that isn't switched daily.
Clip-on DIN rail mount, 54 mm wide (6 x 9 mm pitches). Neutral on the left, 3 protected poles on the right. Screw-clamp terminals accept 1 to 25 mm² rigid cable; strip 11 mm for the bottom connection, torque to 2.5 N.m on the top power circuit. IP20 rated — fine inside an enclosed panel, not for wet environments. Padlockable with a 4 mm hasp for lockout/tagout.
