The Curve C magnetic trip (5–10 × In) means it tolerates moderate inrush — typical for lighting banks, small motorized valves, and general socket outlets — without nuisance tripping. The 300 mA sensitivity is a residual-current rating for personnel protection against indirect contact (not direct-contact 30 mA), so it is correct for circuits where the earth loop impedance is low enough to clear a fault within the disconnection time.
