The Schneider Electric A9F08213 is a 13 A, 2-pole miniature circuit breaker from the Acti9 iC60H series, with a D tripping curve. The D curve means its magnetic trip threshold is 12 x In (±20 %), so it tolerates the high inrush currents of motor loads, transformers, or discharge lighting without nuisance tripping — a common requirement on plant floors where a standard C curve would drop out on startup.
This breaker carries a 42 kA Icu at 12–133 V AC, 30 kA at 220–240 V, and 15 kA at 380–415 V, all per EN/IEC 60947-2. At 400 V AC it is also rated 10 kA Icn per EN/IEC 60898-1. For a 13 A MCB on a typical 400 V distribution board, the 15 kA Icu gives you headroom against high fault currents without cascading upstream — useful when the transformer is close to the panel. The 2-pole version switches both line and neutral, with both poles protected.
Installation and wiring notes
Mounts on DIN rail. The toggle switch provides local on/off control plus a trip indicator for visual fault identification. Pollution degree 3 (industrial environment) and overvoltage category IV (main incoming supply) are built in — no derating needed for typical panel conditions. IP20 rated, so install inside an enclosure.
Dual-certified to EN/IEC 60947-2 (industrial) and EN/IEC 60898-1 (household and similar), utilisation category A. Suitable for isolation per both standards. Earth-leakage protection requires a separate Vigi block, not integrated.
