What this MCB does on the rail
The Schneider Electric A9F68102 is a 2 A, 1-pole miniature circuit breaker from the Acti9 iT60 series, built to protect final subcircuits in distribution boards. Rated breaking capacity hits 50 kA Icu at 240 V AC per EN/IEC 60947-2, and 6 kA Icn at 230 V AC per EN/IEC 60898-1. That dual rating means it covers both industrial panel duty (60947-2) and residential/commercial branch circuits (60898-1) — one part for the BOM, two standards ticked.
Terminals accept 1–25 mm² rigid or 1–16 mm² flexible — enough for the 2 A feed. Removable comb busbar compatible for multi-pole ganging.
Thermal-magnetic trip unit: the thermal bimetal handles sustained overloads; the magnetic coil clears short-circuits. Rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 500 V AC — fine for 230/400 V networks. Overvoltage category IV means it's rated for the main distribution point, not just sub-panels. Suitability for isolation is confirmed per both standards, so you can use it as a local disconnect.
