The Schneider Electric A9FDB7610 is an Acti9 iDPN N Arc arc fault detection circuit breaker (AFDD) — a 1P+N device rated 10 A at 30 °C with a B-curve trip characteristic and a 6000 A Icn breaking capacity at 230 V AC 50 Hz per EN/IEC 60898-1.
What sets this unit apart from a standard MCB is the integrated arc-fault detection. The thermal-magnetic trip handles overloads and short circuits (magnetic tripping between 3 and 5 times In for the B-curve), while the electronics monitor the waveform for the high-frequency signature of a series or parallel arc — the kind of fault a standard breaker won't catch. The limitation class 3 rating per IEC 60898-1 means it lets through very little energy during a short-circuit, which helps with downstream device coordination.
Mounts on DIN rail via the clip-on mechanism — 36 mm width (2 modules at 18 mm pitch). The toggle provides local signalling for ON, OFF, and fault trip positions.
