The Schneider Electric A9K23110 is an Acti9 iK60N miniature circuit breaker (MCB), single-pole, rated 10 A at 30 °C with a B tripping curve. That B curve means magnetic trip occurs between 3 and 5 times the rated current — so for a 10 A breaker, instantaneous trip starts at 30 A and is guaranteed by 50 A. This makes it the go-to for resistive or general-purpose loads where you want short-circuit protection without nuisance tripping from modest inrush.
Breaking capacity and standard compliance
Rated breaking capacity is 6000 A Icn at 230 V AC, 50/60 Hz, conforming to EN/IEC 60898-1. That 6 kA figure is the standard domestic and light-commercial fault level — sufficient for most distribution boards fed from a typical transformer. The breaker also carries a limitation class 3 rating under the same standard, meaning it lets through very little fault energy, so downstream wiring and devices see less stress during a short circuit. Insulation voltage rated 440 V AC, overvoltage category III — fits standard panel environments.
Clip-on mounting to DIN rail (EN rail). Occupies 2 x 9 mm pitches — that's 18 mm width, so a single-pole breaker takes one standard modular slot. Depth 78.5 mm, height 85 mm. Tightening torque 2 N·m.
