The Schneider Electric A9K23316 is an Acti9 iK60N miniature circuit-breaker — a 3-pole, 16 A thermal-magnetic MCB with a B-curve trip characteristic (3...5 x In magnetic tripping limit) and a 6 kA breaking capacity at 400 V AC.
The 16 A rated current at 30 °C sets the continuous load it can carry without tripping — sized for a branch circuit feeding general-purpose outlets or lighting. The 3-pole version switches all three phases simultaneously, so it fits three-phase distribution boards. Thermal-magnetic trip technology combines a bimetal strip for overload protection and a solenoid for short-circuit response.
Clip-on mounting to a DIN rail, 54 mm wide (6 x 9 mm pitches), 85 mm tall, 78.5 mm deep — standard MCB footprint that fits most distribution boards without crowding adjacent ways. Tunnel-type terminals accept 1...25 mm² rigid or 1...16 mm² flexible cable; tighten to 2 N·m. Strip 14 mm of insulation for a clean connection. IP20 rated for protected indoor panels only.
