The Schneider Electric A9K24716 is an Acti9 iK60N miniature circuit-breaker (MCB) rated 16 A at 30 °C with a C-curve trip characteristic, built to EN/IEC 60898-1. The 6 kA Icn breaking capacity at 400 V AC 50/60 Hz means it can safely interrupt a fault current up to 6 000 A without welding the contacts — enough for most residential and light commercial distribution panels where the prospective short-circuit current stays under that level. The 3P+N configuration protects all three phases and switches the neutral, which is the standard arrangement for a three-phase distribution board in a TN or TT system. It clips onto a DIN rail, occupies 8 x 9 mm pitches (72 mm wide), and stands 85 mm tall with a depth of 78.5 mm, so it fits a standard modular enclosure without surprises.
Mounting is clip-on DIN rail — no screws, just snap it onto the rail and it locks. The tunnel-type terminals accept 1 to 25 mm² rigid or 1 to 16 mm² flexible wire; strip 14 mm and torque to 2 N·m. The toggle gives a clear ON/OFF indication, and there is a padlocking provision for lockout/tagout.
