What the iEM3355 does in a panel
The Schneider A9MEM3355-NMI is a DIN-rail energy meter from the Acti9 iEM3000 series, rated for 125 A direct connection. It meters active, reactive, and apparent energy in all four quadrants — so it captures both consumption and generation, import and export, on a single device. The 125 A rating means it handles the full current of a main incomer or a large sub-feeder without an external CT; just land the cables directly into the screw terminals (accepts up to 50 mm²).
Four tariffs, one meter — multi-tariff billing
Four tariff inputs let a facility manager switch between rate schedules (peak/off-peak/seasonal) via a dry-contact or voltage signal. Combined with the 4-quadrant energy measurement, this meter supports complex billing structures — time-of-use, demand charges, and net metering for on-site generation. The LCD display shows cumulative and tariff-specific energy totals, and the RS485 Modbus port (screw-terminal accessible) pushes the data to a BMS or energy management system.
Clip-on DIN-rail mount, 14 modules wide (126 mm). Depth is 69.3 mm, height 103.2 mm — fits standard distribution boards and sub-panels. The screw terminals accept up to 50 mm² cable, which is the right size for a 125 A circuit. IP40 on the front panel (splash protection in the enclosure), IP20 on the body. Operating altitude up to 3000 m, relative humidity 5–95 % at 50 °C.
