80 A RCCB for panel builders — what the ratings mean
Type AC covers the sine-wave faults most common in resistive and simple inductive loads; it does not detect pulsating DC or high-frequency residuals (those call for Type A or Type F). Mounts via clip-on to DIN rail (35 mm per EN 60715), occupying 4 x 9 mm pitches (36 mm width). The tunnel-type terminals accept 1…35 mm² rigid or 1…25 mm² flexible cable; tighten to 3.5 N·m.
Designed and tested to IEC 61008-1, EN 61008-1, and IEC 61008-2-1 — the core standards for residual current operated circuit-breakers without integral overcurrent protection. Pollution degree 2 (normal industrial/domestic environment). IP20 finger-safe terminals; install inside a distribution board or enclosure rated for the ambient conditions.
