The Schneider Electric A9N16213 is an Acti9 xID residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) — 2 poles, rated 80 A continuous, with 100 mA earth-leakage sensitivity, Type AC. The 230-240 V AC 50 Hz operational voltage and 800 A breaking capacity per EN/IEC 61008-1 mean it handles standard single-phase residential or light commercial sub-distribution. The instantaneous trip on AC sinusoidal fault currents gives fast disconnection for basic shock protection, but Type AC only detects sinusoidal residual currents — not pulsed DC or smooth DC waveforms that VFDs or switched-mode supplies can generate.
Clip-on mounting to DIN rail, neutral on the left. Tunnel terminals accept up to 35 mm² rigid or 25 mm² flexible on top or bottom — wire stripping length 14 mm, tightening torque 3.5 N·m. The 18 mm phase-to-phase pitch matches standard Acti9 busbar spacing. IP20 rated, so it lives inside an enclosure, not in a washdown zone. Padlocking provision allows lockout/tagout for isolation duty (suitability for isolation is marked).
Meets EN/IEC 61008-1 and EN 61008-2-1. Storage range -40 to 85 °C, 95 % RH at 55 °C. Electrical and mechanical durability both rated at 4000 cycles — consistent with a residential-duty RCCB, not a high-cycling industrial contactor.
