The A9N17523 is a Schneider Electric iDPN N miniature circuit breaker rated 40 A with a B curve (magnetic trip 3–5 × In) and a 1P+N pole configuration. The thermal-magnetic trip unit combines a bimetal strip for overload protection and a solenoid for short-circuit response. The 1P+N design switches the line conductor and provides a switched neutral — the neutral is not protected but is disconnected when the breaker trips, which is common in single-phase final circuits where the neutral is bonded at the source.

The 18 mm width per pole (2 × 9 mm pitches) means this 1P+N breaker occupies two modules on a DIN rail — standard for a single-pole switched-neutral MCB. Depth is 78 mm, height 81 mm. Tunnel terminals accept 0.33–10 mm² flexible or 0.75–16 mm² rigid upstream and downstream; wire stripping length is 13 mm, tightening torque 2 N·m. IP20 finger-safe terminals are standard for enclosed distribution boards. The toggle switch provides local ON/OFF indication.
