The Schneider Electric A9N18588 is an Acti9 Vigi C120 add-on residual current device (RCD) designed for 4-pole (4P) circuits. It is rated for a continuous load current of 125 A and provides earth-leakage protection at 500 mA sensitivity, Type A, with a selective (time-delayed) characteristic. That means it sits at the head of a sub-distribution board or as an outgoer group incomer, coordinating with downstream RCDs so that only the faulted branch trips during a ground fault — the selective delay prevents a whole-panel blackout for a transient or a downstream fault.
The device occupies 10 modules of 9 mm pitch, so it needs 90 mm of DIN rail width. Dimensions are 198 mm wide × 95 mm high × 73 mm deep. Tunnel-type terminals accept 1-35 mm² flexible or 1-50 mm² rigid; strip length 15 mm; tightening torque 3.5 N·m.
