The Schneider Electric A9N19661 is an Acti9 DPN N Vigi residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection (RCBO), combining a 6 A C-curve MCB and a 30 mA Type AC RCD in a single 1P+N module. It is rated for 230 V AC networks and breaks fault currents up to 6000 A Icn at that voltage, per EN/IEC 61009.
The 6 A C-curve thermal-magnetic trip unit protects final sub-circuits with resistive and moderate inductive loads — think lighting banks, small fan coils, or socket outlets feeding office equipment. The C-curve magnetic release operates between 5 and 10 times In, so a 6 A unit trips instantaneously between 30 A and 60 A, which avoids nuisance trips from modest inrush while still clearing hard faults.
Integration and deployment
The residual current tripping is voltage-independent — it will operate even if the neutral is lost upstream, a key safety advantage over electronic RCDs.
