The 40 A rated current (at 30 °C) and 30 mA Type AC earth-leakage sensitivity cover standard residential and light commercial distribution boards where the load is resistive or slightly inductive — lighting, general-purpose sockets, small appliances. The 6 kA breaking capacity (Icn at 230 V AC, per EN 61009) is adequate for most domestic sub-distribution boards but check the prospective fault current at the installation point — if it exceeds 6 kA, step up to a higher-rated unit.
Mounts on DIN rail (EN 60715) and occupies 4 x 9 mm pitches — a compact 36 mm width for a 1P+N RCBO. Neutral is on the left, phase on the right. Tunnel terminals accept up to 16 mm² rigid or 10 mm² flexible cable, which is generous for a 40 A outgoing circuit.
