It protects a single-phase outgoing circuit against overload, short-circuit, and earth faults, all in one DIN-rail footprint. The 5...10 x In magnetic trip range means it clears short-circuits quickly without nuisance tripping on moderate inrush. The Type AC earth-leakage detection responds to sinusoidal AC residual currents at 50/60 Hz. At 300 mA sensitivity, this is sized for whole-circuit or sub-distribution protection where personnel protection is not the primary goal — think feeder protection or equipment with known leakage, not socket-outlet final circuits where 30 mA is standard for shock protection. Breaking capacity is 6000 A Icn at 230 V AC, conforming to EN 61009. That covers typical domestic and light commercial panel fault levels; for installations with higher prospective short-circuit current, a current-limiting upstream MCB or fuse is needed.
DIN-rail and panel integration
The 36 mm width occupies 4 module pitches at 9 mm each. Depth is 77.5 mm with an embedding depth of 44 mm — the part that sits behind the panel cutout. Plan for clearance in the gland plate or enclosure depth.
Designed to EN/IEC 61009-1 and EN/IEC 61009-2-1, the standards for RCBOs. Limitation class 3 and pollution degree 3 are per the same standard. Overvoltage category IV suits it for main distribution panels. Electrical and mechanical durability are both 20000 cycles.
