The Schneider Electric A9N1P01CGN is a 1 A miniature circuit breaker from the Acti9 xC60 series, single-pole, curve C, designed for AC distribution networks. It clips onto a 35 mm DIN rail and occupies two 9 mm pitches (18 mm wide). The 10 kA Icn breaking capacity at 240 V AC per IS/IEC 60898-1 means it can safely interrupt fault currents up to that level on a residential or light commercial final subcircuit — adequate for most domestic lighting and socket-outlet protection in regions following IEC 60898-1.
Curve C and trip characteristics
Curve C means the magnetic trip operates at 5 to 10 times In (5–10 A for this 1 A unit). That suits loads with moderate inrush — think lighting banks, small transformers, or general-purpose socket outlets. The thermal-magnetic trip element handles overloads; the magnetic coil clears short-circuits. For a 1 A breaker, the 5–10× In band gives a good balance between nuisance ride-through and fast fault clearance on typical final circuits.
The 18 mm width (two 9 mm pitches) fits standard modular enclosures. Tunnel-type terminals at bottom accept up to 25 mm² rigid or 16 mm² flexible cable; strip length 13 mm. Tightening torque 2 N·m.
