The Schneider Electric A9N1P16DGN is a 1-pole Acti9 xC60 miniature circuit breaker rated 16 A with a D tripping curve and a 10 kA breaking capacity at 240 V AC.
That's the range you want for loads with a high inrush: a 16 A motor drawing 100 A for a few cycles on start won't pop this breaker, but a hard fault will clear it fast. Thermal-magnetic trip technology means the bimetal strip handles the overload curve (slow, heat-based) while the solenoid handles short-circuit (instant, magnetic). The IP20 finger-safe terminals keep accidental contact out during commissioning.
Panel integration
Clip-on mount onto 35 mm DIN rail. Width is 18 mm (2 x 9 mm pitches), so it takes one modular space in the enclosure. Height 85 mm, depth 77.5 mm — fits standard distribution boards without crowding the gland plate. Tightening torque 2 N.m — no special tooling needed.
