The D curve means magnetic tripping occurs at 12 x In (480 A), so it tolerates the inrush of motor or transformer loads without nuisance trips. Breaking capacity is 10 kA Icu at 220–240 V AC, 15 kA at 12–48 V DC, and 6 kA at 60 V DC — enough for most commercial and light industrial panelboards where the prospective fault current stays under those limits. The thermal-magnetic trip unit handles both overload (thermal bimetal) and short-circuit (solenoid) protection in one package.
DIN rail fit and wiring
At 18 mm wide (2 x 9 mm pitches) and 77.5 mm deep, this breaker occupies one standard module on a 35 mm DIN rail. The bottom terminals use a biconnect/tunnel design that can also loop a busbar through. IP20 finger-safe protection means it's intended for enclosed panels, not open wet areas.
