MCB selection notes — A9N21368
The 6 kA Icn at 230 V AC (EN/IEC 60898-1) and 10 kA Icu at 230–240 V AC (IEC 60947-2) give the breaker two certified breaking capacities: the Icn is the rated short-circuit capacity for domestic-type installations, while the higher Icu under 60947-2 confirms it can interrupt a fault up to 10 kA and still be reclosed, which matters for industrial panel coordination studies.
Dual-standard certification and compliance
This breaker carries dual certification to EN/IEC 60898-1 (the standard for household and similar installations) and EN/IEC 60947-2 (low-voltage switchgear and controlgear). That dual rating means it is accepted in both domestic distribution boards and industrial panel builds where the designer needs the higher Icu figure for fault-level coordination.
DIN rail integration and wiring
Width is 18 mm (2 × 9 mm pitches), which is the standard 1-module footprint for a 1P+N MCB — fits any 18 mm-wide slot in a distribution board or panel. Tunnel-type terminals accept 0.33–10 mm² flexible or 0.75–16 mm² rigid on both upstream and downstream sides. IP20 finger-safe terminals are standard for enclosed panel use.
