It protects a single pole plus neutral (1P+N) and is rated to interrupt fault currents up to 4500 A at 230 V AC per EN/IEC 60898-1.
The 20 A rated current (In) and C-curve (magnetic trip between 5 and 10 × In) mean this breaker is sized for general-purpose lighting and socket-outlet circuits where inrush from fluorescent ballasts or small motors is moderate — it will hold through a brief surge but trip fast on a hard short.
Clip-on mounting to a standard 35 mm DIN rail; the 18 mm width (2 x 9 mm pitches) means it occupies two modular spaces in a consumer unit or distribution board. The tunnel-type terminals accept up to 16 mm² rigid or 10 mm² flexible copper on both line and load sides — enough for a 20 A circuit using 2.5 mm² or 4 mm² cable. The white housing carries ON/OFF indication on the toggle and is IP20 rated for dry indoor enclosures.
