The A9N21567 is a Schneider Electric iDPN N miniature circuit breaker from the Clario range — a 1P+N thermal-magnetic MCB rated 16 A with a D tripping curve (10–14 × In magnetic trip). It clips onto DIN rail, occupies 2 × 9 mm pitches (18 mm wide), and breaks 6000 A Icn at 230 V AC 50/60 Hz per EN/IEC 60898-1. The kit is complete: tunnel-type terminals accept 0.75–16 mm² rigid or 0.33–10 mm² flexible upstream and downstream, and the toggle gives local ON/OFF indication.
What the D curve and 6 kA rating mean for a panel
The D curve (10–14 × In) means this MCB tolerates the high inrush of motor-starting or transformer-energising loads without nuisance tripping — the magnetic trip won't fire until 160–224 A flows. For a 1P+N board, the neutral is switched and protected, which matters in single-phase distribution where the neutral path must open with the line.
DIN-rail fit and terminal work
Clip-on mounting to DIN rail, 18 mm wide (2 × 9 mm pitches), 78 mm deep, 81 mm tall. Tunnel terminals: upstream and downstream accept 0.75–16 mm² rigid or 0.33–10 mm² flexible. IP20 — safe for enclosed panels, not for washdown zones. Operating altitude 2000 m, relative humidity 95 % at 55 °C.
