50 A, C-curve, 2-pole — what it means on the panel
The Schneider Electric A9N2P50CIN is an Acti9 xC60 miniature circuit breaker rated at 50 A with a C-curve magnetic trip threshold of 8 x In (±20%). That means it holds through moderate inrush — motor starts, capacitor banks, transformer energisation — and trips fast on a hard short. The 2-pole configuration protects both phase and neutral on a single-phase or split-phase distribution circuit. Breaking capacity is 10 kA at 380–415 V AC 50/60 Hz per IS/IEC 60947-2, with a limitation class 3 rating that clips the let-through energy on a fault.
IP20 finger-safe protection on the front.
Certified to IS/IEC 60947-2 with utilisation category A — meaning it is not intended for motor-starting duty but for general distribution and branch-circuit protection.
