It is designed for DC circuits in small commercial and residential photovoltaic installations, isolating and protecting against overcurrent and short-circuit faults per EN/IEC 60947-2.
The 3 A rated current (In) sets the continuous load it can carry without tripping; size it for the string current of your PV array or DC load. Breaking capacity is 3 kA Icu at 650 V DC and 1.5 kA Icu at 800 V DC — the maximum fault current it can safely interrupt at those voltages. Service breaking capacity (Ics) is the same values at 100 % of Icu, meaning it can reclose after a fault at full rating without derating. That matters for coordination in a PV combiner box where fault currents can be high. Polarity insensitive — it protects against bi-directional current, which is essential for DC circuits where current can flow either way (e.g., battery banks or PV strings with reverse-current risk). No need to worry about orientation during installation.
Takes up 8 x 9 mm pitches (72 mm wide) on the rail, so plan your DIN rail layout accordingly. Ambient operating range -25…70 °C, storage -40…85 °C, with 95 % RH at 55 °C — fine for outdoor enclosures in most climates.
