The Schneider Electric A9P52716 is an Acti9 iC40 miniature circuit breaker — a thermal-magnetic MCB rated for 16 A with a C-curve trip characteristic, in a 3P+N pole configuration. The 54 mm width (6 x 9 mm pitches) fits a standard modular enclosure slot.
This breaker carries dual breaking-capacity ratings: 4.5 kA Icn per EN/IEC 60898-1 and 6 kA Icu per EN/IEC 60947-2, both at 400 V AC. The Icn figure governs its use as a domestic/residential MCB under the 60898 standard; the higher Icu rating means it also qualifies as an industrial circuit breaker under 60947-2, so it can be specified in commercial or light-industrial distribution boards where fault current may reach 6 kA.
DIN-rail integration and panel wiring
Clip-on mounting on a standard DIN rail, neutral on the left side. Terminals are tunnel type — accepts 1–16 mm² rigid or 1–10 mm² flexible copper, with a 2 N·m tightening torque and 14 mm strip length. The toggle gives ON/OFF plus a trip-indicator flag; the contact-position indicator confirms isolation status per EN/IEC 60947-2.
Complies with EN/IEC 60898-1 and EN/IEC 60947-2, carries IMQ quality label, and is rated for isolation duty. Earth-leakage protection requires a separate block — not integrated.
