The Schneider Electric A9P62720 is an Acti9 iC40 miniature circuit breaker rated 20 A with a D curve, configured as 3 poles plus neutral (3P+N). It clips onto a standard DIN rail and is intended for distribution boards in commercial and light industrial panels where high inrush loads — motor starters, transformers, discharge lighting — demand the D curve's wider magnetic trip threshold of 10–14 × In (per EN/IEC 60898-1) or 12 × In ±20 % (per EN/IEC 60947-2).
Breaking capacity and dual-standard certification
This breaker carries two breaking-capacity ratings: 4500 A Icn at 400 V AC conforming to EN/IEC 60898-1 (the standard for household and similar installations) and 6000 A Icu at 400 V AC conforming to EN/IEC 60947-2 (the standard for industrial switchgear). The insulation rating is 440 V AC.
The housing is 54 mm wide (6 × 9 mm pitches), 85 mm tall, 74 mm deep. Tunnel terminals accept 1–16 mm² rigid or 1–10 mm² flexible copper; strip length is 14 mm and tightening torque is 2 N·m. IP20 on the terminals, IP40 inside a modular enclosure. A padlocking device can be fitted for LOTO compliance.
