The Schneider Electric A9Q16325 is a 3-pole add-on residual current device (RCD) from the Acti9 Vigi iC60 range, rated 25 A with 500 mA earth-leakage sensitivity, Type AC. It clips onto the side of an iC60 MCB via the plug-in electrical connection, converting that outgoing circuit into an RCBO assembly. The 73.5 mm depth and 54 mm width keep the combined unit within a standard DIN-rail pitch of 6 modules (9 mm each).
The 500 mA sensitivity is a delayed-action or high-threshold trip — it is not for personnel protection (which requires 30 mA or lower). This block is sized for equipment protection or fire-prevention on circuits where nuisance tripping from leakage in long cable runs or industrial loads would otherwise be a problem. The insulation voltage is rated 500 V AC, and impulse withstand is 6 kV, both per IEC 60947-2. The residual current tripping technology is voltage-independent — it does not need an external power supply to operate. If the line voltage drops or is lost, the RCD still trips on a ground fault. The trip is instantaneous with no intentional time delay.
Deployment context
Mounts via clip-on onto a DIN rail, side-coupled to an iC60 MCB. The IP20 rating (IP40 in a modular enclosure) suits dry indoor panel environments — not washdown or outdoor use.
