The selective (time-delayed) characteristic coordinates with downstream 30 mA RCDs: the A9R05463 holds through a transient fault, letting the closer device trip first, so only the faulted branch drops out instead of the whole distribution board. The voltage-independent residual current tripping technology means the RCCB detects leakage and opens even if the phase voltage collapses — a safety advantage over electronic RCDs that need an auxiliary supply to trip.
