The Schneider Electric A9R14425 is a 4-pole residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) from the Acti9 iID range, rated at 25 A with 300 mA earth-leakage sensitivity.
The 25 A rated current (In) sets the continuous load limit — size upstream MCB or fuse accordingly. The 300 mA sensitivity is a common choice for general-purpose circuits where a 30 mA trip would cause nuisance tripping from cable leakage or equipment inrush. Type AC means this RCCB is suitable for circuits with resistive, capacitive, or inductive loads that produce sinusoidal leakage; it is not rated for pulsed or DC fault currents (those require Type A or B). Voltage-independent tripping means the device clears a residual fault even if the supply voltage is lost — a safety advantage over electronically tripped units.
Installation and integration notes
Clip-on mounting to a standard DIN rail; neutral is on the left (4P). Terminals accept 1-35 mm² rigid or 1-25 mm² flexible (with or without ferrule). The toggle control and padlocking provision allow lockout/tagout. IP20 (finger-safe) for the device body; IP40 when enclosed in a modular enclosure.
