The A9R31263 is a Schneider Electric Acti9 iID residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) — 2-pole, 63 A rated current, 30 mA earth-leakage sensitivity, Type A-SI (Super Immunised). It clips onto a DIN rail, occupies 4 x 9 mm pitches (36 mm wide), and is rated for 220…240 V AC at 50/60 Hz. The Type A-SI classification means it handles pulsed DC fault currents and is immunised against nuisance tripping from high-frequency harmonics — a good fit for variable-speed drives or UPS-fed circuits where standard Type A might false-trip.
63 A at 240 V AC covers most residential and light-commercial main incomers or sub-feeders. Type A-SI adds immunity to surge-induced tripping: the part withstands an 8/20 µs impulse of 3000 A without false-opening, per EN/IEC 61008-1. That matters in an environment with switching transients — motor starters, contactors, or nearby lightning. Breaking capacity is rated Idm 1500 A and Im 1500 A — adequate for a 63 A outgoing circuit in a domestic or small commercial distribution board. Rated impulse withstand voltage is 6 kV (Uimp), and insulation voltage is 500 V AC. Pollution degree 3 means the device tolerates conductive pollution (condensation, light dust) typical of unsealed enclosures. Mechanical durability is 20,000 cycles; electrical durability under AC-1 resistive load is 15,000 cycles. For a fixed-installation RCCB that sees a few operations per year, that is effectively a lifetime rating. The toggle control, padlocking option, and contact position indicator simplify lockout/tagout during maintenance.
Clip-on DIN rail mounting, neutral on the left. IP20 on the device body, IP40 in a modular enclosure — standard for distribution boards. Ambient operating range is -25…60 °C, storage -40…85 °C.
