The A9S4P100 is a 4-pole isolator switch from the Acti9 ISW 40...125 range, rated 100 A at 415 V AC. It is designed for isolation duty in distribution boards per IEC 60947-3 and IEC 60669-1. The AC-22 utilisation category means it handles switching of mixed resistive and inductive loads, including motor circuits with moderate inrush — not pure motor starting (AC-3), but typical distribution panel loads. Rated breaking capacity is 2.5 kA, and short-circuit withstand is 20 A — sufficient for downstream fault isolation in a well-coordinated panel, not for high-fault service entrance duty.
The 4-pole configuration (4P) isolates all live conductors simultaneously, required for TN or IT systems where neutral switching is mandatory for safe isolation. DC rated supply voltage is 48 V DC on a single pole and 100 V DC on two poles in series — useful for battery-backed or solar combiner box isolation, but note the pole-count limitation.
