The Schneider Electric A9TAA1225 is an arc fault detection add-on block from the Acti9 ARC iC60 range. It is a 2-pole device rated at 25 A, designed to detect series and parallel arc faults in final circuits per EN/IEC 62606.
The 25 A rated current (In) and 230 V AC rated operational voltage (Ue) define the circuit it protects — a 25 A final subcircuit on a 230 V single-phase supply. The 400 V AC rated insulation voltage (Ui) and 4 kV rated impulse withstand voltage (Uimp) confirm it handles transient overvoltages in overvoltage category III installations, typical for fixed-wiring distribution boards. The 10 000-cycle electrical durability at 230 V AC and 20 000-cycle mechanical durability give the expected service life under normal switching and fault conditions.
Tunnel terminals accept 1…10 mm² flexible or 1…16 mm² rigid conductors; tighten to 2 N·m after stripping 14 mm of insulation. The block is an outgoer device in the system, so it sits downstream of the main switch or incoming device. Pollution degree 2 and IP20 front-face protection suit it for enclosed distribution boards in clean indoor environments.
