Arc fault detection add-on block for the iC60 range
The Schneider Electric A9TAB1225 is an Acti9 ARC iC60 arc fault detection add-on block, 2-pole, rated 25 A at 230 V AC. It clips onto the outgoer side of an iC60 MCB to add series arc fault protection per EN/IEC 62606. The 25 A rating matches the branch circuit it protects — sized for the load, not the bus.
The 2-pole form factor (2P) switches both line and neutral. The 73 mm depth and 54 mm width occupy two 9 mm DIN pitches — standard for a 2P AFDD add-on. IP20 for dry indoor panel use only. Electrical durability is 10,000 cycles at 230 V AC per IEC 62606; mechanical durability is 20,000 cycles. The local signalling includes ON, OFF, and a fault-trip LED with arc fault diagnostic — useful for commissioning and troubleshooting without a meter. Tropicalisation severity B per IEC 60068-2-30 (28-day damp heat cycling) and 95% RH at 55 °C mean it holds up in non-conditioned electrical rooms in humid climates. Pollution degree 2 per IEC 62606 covers normal industrial environments with only non-conductive contamination.
