Arc fault detection breaker for final subcircuits
Rated 10 A with a B-curve (magnetic trip 3–5× In), it is sized for lighting and general-purpose final subcircuits where series arcing from loose connections or damaged conductors is a risk. The dual breaking capacity — 6 kA Icn per EN/IEC 60898-1 and 10 kA Icu per EN/IEC 60947-2 — means it meets both domestic and industrial coordination requirements on the same outgoer.
The B-curve trips between 3 and 5 times rated current (30–50 A for this 10 A unit), which suits resistive and lighting loads with low inrush — not motor or transformer circuits where a C or D curve would be needed to avoid nuisance trips. The limitation class 3 rating means it limits let-through energy under fault conditions, which helps with downstream cable protection and reduces the required cable cross-section in some installations.
Clip-on mounting to DIN rail, 36 mm width (4 × 9 mm pitches), fits standard distribution boards and sub-distribution panels. Tunnel terminals accept 1–16 mm² rigid or 1–10 mm² flexible copper; tightening torque is 2 N·m. The toggle control with ON/OFF/fault-trip LED provides local arc fault diagnostics — the LED distinguishes an arc trip from an overcurrent trip, which cuts troubleshooting time on a tripped circuit. IP20 finger-safe protection is suitable for enclosed panel mounting.
Certified to EN/IEC 60898-1 (MCB standard), EN/IEC 60947-2 (industrial circuit-breaker standard), and EN/IEC 62606 (arc fault detection device standard). OVE quality label for Austrian market. Tropicalisation severity B per IEC 60068-2-30 for 28 days — the part is tested for damp-heat cyclic conditions, relevant for installations in non-conditioned spaces or humid environments.
