The Schneider Electric A9TPE4610 is an Acti9 iC40 ARC arc fault detection circuit breaker (AFDD) — a 1P+N device rated 10 A with a C-curve magnetic trip of 5...10 x In. The arc fault detection electronics monitor the line for series and parallel arc faults, and the local signalling includes a dedicated LED for arc fault diagnostics — so when the breaker trips, you know whether it was an overload/short or an arc event. The 3 kA Icn1 rating at 230 V AC is a lower conditional rating for specific coordination — the 6 kA Icn is the one to use for general branch-circuit protection. The part also complies with EN/IEC 62606, the arc fault detection device standard, so it covers all three: MCB, MCCB, and AFDD requirements in one DIN-rail module.
Clip-on mounting to DIN rail, 36 mm wide (4 x 9 mm pitches), 91 mm tall, 73 mm deep. Tunnel terminals accept 1...16 mm² rigid or 1...10 mm² flexible, with a 2 N.m tightening torque and 14 mm strip length. Cable entry from top and bottom, neutral on the left. IP20 finger-safe terminals — fine for enclosed panelboards, not for wet locations. Tropicalisation severity B per IEC 60068-2-30 for 28 days means it handles high-humidity environments without condensation damage.
