Product identity and lifecycle status
The A9W11225 is a Schneider Electric Acti9 Vigi iC60 add-on residual current device (RCD) — a 2-pole, 25 A, 30 mA sensitivity, AC type unit with instantaneous trip, designed to clip onto the side of an iC60 miniature circuit breaker with double terminals. This part is now classified as Obsolete per the manufacturer's lifecycle record.
Rated 25 A at 230/240 V AC, 50/60 Hz, this RCD protects the downstream circuit against earth leakage currents above 30 mA. Voltage-independent tripping means the device disconnects even if the line voltage is lost — a safety advantage over electronic RCDs that need a control supply to operate.
Clip-on mounting onto a DIN rail, occupying 3 module pitches (63 mm width). Designed as an outgoer device in the Acti9 system, it connects electrically to the iC60 MCB via screws. The tunnel-type terminals accept 1–25 mm² rigid or 1–16 mm² flexible cable; tighten to 2 N·m with 14 mm strip length.
Designed and certified to EN/IEC 61009-1 (RCD/MCB combination standard) and IEC 60947-2 (low-voltage switchgear). Pollution degree 3 per IEC 60947-2, rated insulation voltage 500 V AC, rated impulse withstand voltage 6 kV. The 8/20 µs impulse withstand rating of 250 A per IEC 61009-1 confirms it handles typical surge events without nuisance tripping. Storage temperature range -40 to 85 °C, operating range -5 to 60 °C.
