The A9W25463 is a Schneider Electric Acti9 Vigi iC60 earth leakage add-on block — a 4-pole, 63 A rated, 300 mA sensitivity, type A selective residual current device (RCD) that clips onto the downstream side of an iC60 MCB. It is voltage independent, meaning the residual current detection circuit does not rely on the line voltage to operate; tripping energy comes from the fault itself. This makes it suitable for circuits where voltage may be lost during a fault condition. Rated operational voltage is 400 V AC at 50/60 Hz per EN 61009-1, with a 230/415 V AC range per IEC 61009-1. Insulation voltage is 500 V AC, impulse withstand 6 kV. The selective time delay (marked S) coordinates with downstream RCDs to prevent nuisance tripping on transient earth faults — the upstream unit holds off long enough for the downstream device to clear a fault first. Mounts via clip-on to DIN rail, occupying 7 modules of 9 mm pitch (135 mm width).
Integration & wiring
This add-on block screws directly to the outgoing side of an iC60 MCB. The mechanical interlock prevents the block from being mounted without the MCB, and the trip indicator on the block gives local visual status. The 8/20 µs impulse withstand rating of 3000 A per IEC 61009-1 means the internal surge suppression handles typical lightning-induced transients without nuisance tripping.
