The A9W26225 is a Vigi iC60 add-on residual current device (RCD) from the Acti9 range. It clips onto the downstream side of an iC60 MCB to add earth-leakage protection to the outgoing circuit. The kit is complete — the block ships with its own tunnel-type terminals and screws for the mechanical and electrical link to the MCB; no separate accessory pack needed. Rated for 25 A continuous on a 230/415 V AC network at 50/60 Hz, it provides 500 mA earth-leakage sensitivity with Type A protection — meaning it detects sinusoidal AC residual currents plus pulsating DC residual currents, which covers most modern electronic loads. The trip is instantaneous (no intentional delay), so it clears ground faults immediately. The residual current tripping is voltage-independent — the block does not need an external power supply to operate; it draws its trip energy from the fault current itself. This makes it inherently reliable even if the supply voltage drops during a fault.
Integration and fit
It occupies 3 x 9 mm pitches (27 mm) of DIN-rail width. The tunnel-type terminals on the downside accept 1…25 mm² rigid or 1…16 mm² flexible cable; wire stripping length is 14 mm; tightening torque is 2 N·m. IP20 rated (finger-safe) on the front face; IP40 inside a modular enclosure. Operating temperature range is -25…60 °C; storage range -40…85 °C.
Designed and tested to IEC 61009-1 and EN 61009-1 (RCBO standard for household and similar installations). Rated insulation voltage 500 V AC; rated impulse withstand voltage 6 kV per IEC 60947-2. The block withstands 8/20 µs impulse currents up to 250 A per IEC 61009-1.
