The A9W26363 is an Acti9 Vigi iC60 add-on residual current device (RCD) — a voltage-independent earth leakage block that clips onto the outgoing side of a compatible iC60 MCB. It is rated 63 A, 500 mA sensitivity, Type A (pulsating DC and sinusoidal AC leakage), 3-pole, for 230/415 V AC 50/60 Hz networks. The block mounts on DIN rail via clip-on, occupies 7 x 9 mm pitches (117 mm width), and connects to the MCB by screws through tunnel terminals accepting up to 35 mm² rigid or 25 mm² flexible.
Schneider Electric has marked the A9W26363 as obsolete.
Key Ratings & Fit
The 500 mA sensitivity is instantaneous (no time delay), so it trips on the first half-cycle of leakage — suitable for general protection but not selective coordination with downstream RCDs. Type A detection covers sinusoidal AC and pulsating DC residual currents, which covers most modern electronic loads (VFDs, switched-mode supplies, rectifiers). The voltage-independent tripping technology means the block operates without needing a separate power supply; it draws its trip energy from the fault current itself. The block is IP20 (finger-safe) and IP40 inside a modular enclosure. Terminals accept 1…35 mm² rigid or 1…25 mm² flexible wire; tighten to 3.5 N·m. Strip length 14 mm. The block includes a trip indicator for local signalling.
Integration
Clip-on mounting to DIN rail. The block is an outgoer device — it sits downstream of the MCB. Electrical connection to the MCB is by screws; the assembly occupies 7 module widths (9 mm each). Panel builders should account for the 74 mm depth behind the panel when sizing enclosures.
