The Schneider Electric A9W31425 is an add-on residual current device (RCD) from the Acti9 Vigi iC60 range, designed to clip onto the downstream side of an iC60 miniature circuit breaker (MCB) via the double-terminal connection. It adds earth-leakage protection to an existing MCB without replacing the breaker itself — a clean retrofit for panel upgrades or code compliance. Rated at 25 A continuous, 400/415 V AC, with 30 mA sensitivity and Type A-SI (super immunised) earth leakage protection. The A-SI designation means it handles pulsed DC residual currents (Type A) plus high-frequency leakage from VFDs or switched-mode supplies without nuisance tripping — a common need on modern production lines with variable-speed drives. Tripping is instantaneous, voltage-independent, so it works even if the neutral is lost.
Clip-on mounting to DIN rail, 4 poles wide (126 mm width, 91 mm height, 74 mm depth). Occupies 6 module pitches of 9 mm each. Tightening torque 2 N·m, strip length 14 mm.
Compliant with EN 61009-1 and IEC 61009-1 for RCBOs (combined MCB/RCD). Rated insulation voltage 500 V AC, impulse withstand voltage 6 kV, pollution degree 3 per IEC 60947-2. The 8/20 µs impulse withstand of 3000 A means it survives lightning-induced surges on the line without damage.
Lifecycle status is Active — current production, no end-of-life notice. No direct successor needed; this is the standard add-on RCD for the iC60 platform.
